Challenge
Approach
Current Olive app
- is good enough
- works
- converts
- has users
Our Goal
- Go beyond those things
- Create something greate than the app
- Make people care about it

Features
Food Scanning
Before vs After

Profile Page
Making it more social and creating an emphasis on the scanning history. Also tweaked the information architecture since previously profile was just part of the home page but we restructured it t be its own thing and include more functionality as a standalone page.

What the current app is missing
First thing we did before even thinking about design was download te app and use it to test what's wrong, what's missing and find out if they needed a revamp in the first place.

Onboarding
We noticed that the onboarding was way too long and repetitive, on top of having inconsistent design elements but it also had some really good screens that could be impactful for retention or user preferences which are the ones we decided to show the visual language for the onboarding flow.
Research
Competitor analysis
did desktop in-depth research on what kind of services already exist in the food trackerindustry. How do other apps tackle the same design problems?

Process & Iteration
Conclusion
- Presented a rapid 1-2 week Revamp to the client (Olive – Food Scanner App) which was well received.
Learning Outcome
- Learned to think more critically and quickly make decisions focusing less on research and the typical design process. This was the first time I've done a project with such a short deadline and it was a useful experience.
